Contemporary wrought iron railing framing glass and painted silver in Chicago

A very popular railing design for newly constructed or remodeled homes in the Chicago area is to frame clear or matte glass panes in metal, which makes small outdoor spaces appear roomier and allows more light through when used inside the home. For this project in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago we installed sleek wrought iron railing frames to secure the clear glass panes. The wrought iron railing pieces were primed and finished with a coat of silver paint for durability and to match the contemporary look of the space. For outdoor applications of this style we’d also recommend powder coating as a great alternative option to withstand Chicago seasons, but the beautiful painted finish is more than sufficient for indoor use.
