French Country Wrought Iron Balcony in Lake Forest

B19

On the bigger, traditional homes up in Lake Forest, a French Country balcony reads as part of the architecture rather than something added on. This one is round bar powder coated satin black, with the softer, decorative lines the style is known for.

French Country is the warm, classic end of wrought iron: graceful curves, a little ornament, nothing severe. It suits an older or more formal home and looks right framing a tall window or a set of French doors, which is usually where these go.

Outside, the finish is powder coat, baked on and good for 15 to 20 years in Lake Forest weather. Because it is a balcony, the build follows the 2024 IRC: at least 36 inches tall on a home, openings tight enough to stop a 4-inch sphere, all confirmed with the village before we finalize. We have built balconies around Lake Forest before and know what the inspectors look for.

If you have a window on the front of the house that wants a balcony, come by the Signature Metal Works shop and we will talk through the look.
