French Country Belly Balcony in Chicago
B23A belly balcony bows outward in the middle, giving the railing a curved, three-dimensional shape instead of a flat face. This is a French Country belly balcony in Chicago, square bar powder coated satin black, and the curve is the whole point.
The belly is that gentle outward bow. It does two things: it adds a little usable depth at a window or door, and it gives the front of the building a softer, more sculptural line than a flat balcony. It is a French Country signature, and on the right facade it is the detail people notice first. We have built belly balconies for homes around the metro.
The finish is powder coat, baked on and good for 15 to 20 years against Chicago sun, rain, and salt, and the wrought iron is built to residential guard code and confirmed for the address.
If you want a balcony with some shape to it instead of a flat box, a belly is worth considering. Give Signature Metal Works a call.
