Minimalist cable wrought iron balcony in Bucktown

A customer in the trendy Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago had reached out to us to design a custom balcony guard structure for the side of their home. The homeowner wanted to open up the living space and be able to look out into their back yard, so they created a doorway, but needed to add an attractive guard to ensure that no one fell out as the door was several feet up off of the ground. We created a custom wrought iron balcony in the Minimalist style that incorporated cable elements to keep the structure from looking too heavy and to allow lots of light to come through. We painted the finished piece silver to match the décor of the home and to protect the piece from the elements. The final look was exactly what the customer had in mind!
