Custom Open Rises stairs in Champaign

S9

We recently had the opportunity to work on a custom staircase and railing for a family who owned a cabin near Champaign, IL. We started out the process by meeting with the family in our fabrication shop to go over the details and showing them the wide variety of options we offered. At the end of the meeting we had created a clear plan of action in regards to the type of metal and the design they were interested in, along with all the other fine details. We scheduled a date to go out to the cabin to measure everything, and the following week we drew up some sketches to offer the client a couple of options and ensure that the staircase was durable and beautiful at the same time. Once the final design was agreed on, we were able to start production. It took us roughly 3 weeks from start to install to fabricate and get everything ready for them to move in. Installation took us 2 days to ensure everything was perfect, and at the end the client absolutely loved the result. The picture here is only a primed product before they installed wood threads. A lot of clients reach out to us for custom railings or custom metal stairs, and we are often asked for a combination of materials and we’re happy to work with subcontractors to ensure that everything matches up seamlessly. We typically prep the metal for the other material – whether it is a glass panel for a railing or a wood thread for the stairs – and everything is done by hand to ensure that the fit is as perfect as possible. Check out our custom metal railing section for additional ideas for your next railing project.
